Still want to eat hamburgers?

Hamburgers have become a popular food option. Whether it’s lunch, dinner or a snack in between many people tend to go for the hamburger. With so many fast food places around it’s no surprise. Hamburgers are convenient and cheap and usually they taste pretty good which is more reason why they are eaten so often. However there are also many reasons why you should eat less hamburgers.

1 – Hamburgers are generally unhealthy when purchased from a fast food place. The ingredients and products used to prepare them aren’t always of the best and freshest quality. So unless you’re making healthy home made hamburgers it’s probably a good idea to eat less of them to stay healthy.

2 – Fat. Fat. And more fat. There’s a lot of fatty stuff on hamburgers. The meat is cooked in oil which is usually deep fried. Then there’s the mayonnaise that is drenched over the lettuce. Oil and mayo on the same hamburger along with the meat, cheese, and whatever else they pile on is a calorie bomb. Stay away from them as much as possible.

3 – Eating too many hamburgers is likely to result in weight gain. The average hamburger contains more than 30g of fat and over 500 calories. Too much fat around your belly and your health will suffer. With such a large amount of fat and calories found in one hamburger eating too many of them can lead to obesity problems for both adults and children.

4 – Hamburgers assist in clogging your arteries. The more hamburgers you consume the easier it is for your arteries to start clogging and your heart to stop functioning correctly. The fat found in hamburgers is usually the unhealthy kind which leads to cholesterol problems and clogging. Avoid it by eating less hamburgers.

Generally eating hamburgers is extremely unhealthy. They are made in a way to be cheap and tasty but are usually filled with stuff that is damaging to your body. If you enjoy the taste of hamburgers and don’t want to give them up completely why not have a hamburger night at home and cook them on your own. Mince some turkey meat yourself and make it into small patties. Fry the patties in a small amount of rice oil and put one on a dark grainy roll. Add some lettuce, tomato, onion and reduced fat cheese and tomato sauce. It’ll be much healthier and lower in fat than the stuff you get from the fast food place
