Fit Factor: Whether it's responding to calls, chasing a suspect, or walking the beat, police officers are moving all day long. Most departments have physical fitness requirements - not a problem if you like staying in shape! Many departments even have officers who patrol on bicycles.
Education: While some police academies accept applicants with only a high school diploma, many prefer or even require a college degree. Prepare with an associate's or bachelor's degree in criminal justice or forensic science.
