3 Important Phases of Exercise

There are three phases of exercise to be considered in the Fitness program.
The warm up, exercise proper and the cool down period. Warm up period usually last for 10 - 15mins for regular individuals, which will require a little bit longer for the older, pregnant & some disabled individuals for the body to adopt. But less for the regular athletes.
Warm up periods are needed in for the following reasons: it increases blood supply for an added oxygen in working muscles; where in turn increases the extensibility of the connective tissues (tendons, ligaments) and muscles as to prevent injury; increase body temperature and increase cardiovascular activity that conditions the body for the exercise proper.
as for the exercise proper, this one will depend on type of exercise that usually cost from to 30mins to 2 hrs. Proper exercise regimen will be tackled in the succeding pages that has been proven effective ever since.
Cool down periods usually last 10-15 mins same as with the warm up. The rationale for this is for the body to adopt for the changing temperature and for the replenishment of oxygen & potasium where in the blood is gradually redistributed in the previous normal pattern, the body temperature returns to normal, cardiovascular pattern returns to normal thus, will prevent/ minimize muscle soreness & injuries.

Warm up and cool down exercises are usually done for some treadmill activities, ergo bike, calistenics ,some stretching, flexibility deep breathing execise done in light & rythmical approach.
